The Telugu remake of Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots, to be directed by Shankar, has been titled 3 Rascals, if sources in the know are to be believed.
‘However, the Tamil version which Shankar would make simultaneously would have a different title as the State government there is giving tax exemption to film with Tamil titles,’ sources maintain.
Mahesh Babu will play Aamir Khan’s role in the Telugu version. Manoj Paramahams will be the cinematographer, and Harris Jayaraj will provide the music. Harris in an interview to a newspaper has said: ‘Shankar is a director who understands film music and its importance. I have already given Shankar one song; a mass number, which is the All is well equivalent.’
