Amala denies doing a Malayalam film!

Amala Paul was the element of surprise in Mynaa and won accolades galore for her performance.

Last week there was news from Mollywood that she has signed Pritviraj’s August Cinemas produced Indian Rupee, directed by noted director Ranjith.

But the actress denies it.

Speaking to sify.com from Vettai location, Amala said: “I was offered the role and given a script narration. It is a very good role, and the producers wanted immediate dates in July, but unfortunately it clashed with my Muppozhudhum Un Karpanai climax shoot. I would love to do a Malayalam films but right now my priorities are in Tamil.”

But sources close to the actress say that Amala has decided to concentrate on Kollywood.

She has three movies in Tamil and is on the verge of signing two more films with big heroes.

And if Amala’s Deivathirumagal turns out to be a hit, she will become the new flavour of Kollywood.

She has also a few Telugu offers in the pipeline, which will give her career a big boost.
