For the past few years, reports have been doing rounds that actress Gauthami has been afflicted with breast cancer. Though there have been strong rumours, the actress neither denied nor confirmed this. For the first time, Gauthami has now conceded that she was indeed struggling to cope upwith breast cancer for the past few years.
“Many a time, I had slept sleepless nights when I would simply keep on crying. I was rattled in the initial stage. Kamal’s support and my well-wishers’ good wishes have helped me tide over the crises and set an example to others that breast cancer can be overcome if one is willing to have patience and determination
“I feel it’s my duty to instill trust and confidence in the minds of all those who have been afflicted by breast cancer. I am going to involve myself full-time in this endeavour in the near future,” Gauthami has reportedly told a vernacular magazine in her most candid interview till date.
She has also added that it was basically because of her daughter Subbulakshmi’s desire that she decided to make a comeback to ‘acting’.
