Much has been heard about Mammootty-Ranjith movie ‘Leela’. But after a while everything was put off and it was also rumored that the film may not happen.
But the latest buzz is that Ranjith has not dropped the project. The script work of the film is progressing now. Mammootty will play the lead role of Kuttiyappan in the movie. Rima Kallingal plays the lead female Leela.
‘Leela’, written and directed by Ranjith, is based on R Unni’s famous short story of the same title. The short story plots the story of Kuttiyappan and the girl Leela who influences the life of Kuttiyappan.
Lalu Alex, Suresh Krishna, and Kottayam Nazeer will also do important roles in ‘Leela’. Director Shyamaprasad turns music director with this movie. ‘Leela’ will be produced by Ranjith himself under the banner of Capitol Theatres.
