Prakash Raj& Tamannaah gets South Scope Awards

The South Scope magazine presented the “South Scope Awards-2010” to the film fraternity of all the four languages in the South on Sunday night at a colorful function held at Hotel Novotel, Hyderabad, on Sunday night (Sep 19).

The cynosure of all eyes was the three couples – Boney Kapoor and Sridevi, Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara, Prakash Raj and Pony Verma. Sridevi looking ravishing in a pink saree presented awards to the Best actors and actresses from all four languages.

Ramanaidu was presented the Life time achievement award. In Tamil, the best actor was Prakash Raj (Kanchivaram) and actress was Tamannaah (Kanden Kadhalai). Arya received special jury award for his outstanding performance in Naan Kadavul.

Best director was Pandiraj for Pasanga and the best supporting actor was Prabhu (Ayan). Harris Jayaraj collected the best music director; Vivek was best comedian while best cinematographer was Manoj Paramahamsa (Eeram).

Best debut actor of 2009 was Naga Chaitanya; and best debutant actress was Rima Kallingal; Best close-up “Jodi of the year” went to Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara.

Speaking on this occasion, Ramanaidu said: “Chiranjeevi acted in several films under our production house. I am happy to receive this honour from Sridevi.”

Sridevi said: “Ramanaidu is not only a good producer, but also a good human being. I always feel happy that I had worked in several films on their banner. I feel it my luck to present him the award.”

The event was anchored by Sriya Saran and almost all top actors from the four film industry were present at the function.
