Shourya fever grips Sandalwood

The release of the film is still a week away, but Sandalwood is gripped by the Shourya fever. This Darshan starrer flick which is a remake of Gopichand`s Telugu film Shoryam directed by actor-director Sadhu Kokila is hitting the screens on the Varamahalakshmi festival day, August 20.

The lanky action hero’s fans are already pinning hopes for a blast of a release. Darshan is regarded as the King of Openings in the Kannada film industry and the collections for the first three days for many of his films have always created new bench marks. Shourya has already created a big buzz because of way it was marketed.

Gandhinagara trade pundits are already predicting huge openings for the film and are even hoping that the film would consolidate the gains of recent good releases like Krishnan Love Story and Eradaneya Maduve. The audio of the film has already become a big hit. Sadhu Kokila himself has composed the music for this film.

Since Darshan fans expect exciting action sequences, the producers have spent a lot on picturising them. Each fight sequence has been shot for more than seven to eight days in various locations. The comic and sentimental elements are also a big highlight of the film says B.N.Gangadhar, one of the producers of the film. Sadhu Kokila has already started a big promotional drive for the film.

The film is yet to pass through the sensor board. A large number of theatres have lined up for its release. It will be released in more than 35 theatres in Bangalore city and around fifteen in the Mysore and Uttara Karnataka distribution areas respectively. In the most important Chitradurga-Bellary-Davanagere distribution area, the film may get released in 10 to 12 theatres. The producers are also planning to increase the admission rates by Rs. 5 for each ticket uniformly for all the classes which ensures a big return in the opening week.

Bollywood actress Madalasa Sharma is paired with Darshan for the first time. The other artists include Reema Worah, Sampath, Srinath and Sadhu Kokila himself in an important role.
