The director had come up with an innovative way to clear Vidya Balan’s apprehension over her bold and sexy role in the movie, turning into soft porn. He advised Vidya to watch films such as Chicago and Burlesque which portray women with strong and overtly sexual body language.
The Dirty Picture will not focus on the sleaze but the tragedy behind the mask of the sex symbol who provided titillation to thousands of viewers but died a lonely and tragic death.”
