Malayali girl Amala Paul, whose realistic portrayal in Prabhu Solomon’s Deepavali release Mynaa was well-received, will act in superstar Vikram’s his next film, tentatively titled Deiva Magan, to be directed by Vijay. Anushka has already been signed to play the female lead. Sources revealed that Anaka will be playing Vikram’s wife in the movie in a flashback segment.
Deiva Magan is loosely based on Sean Penn’s blockbuster I Am Sam. Earlier, Meera Jasmine was to play this role, but in a sudden turn of events, Vijay, who was deeply impressed by Anaka’s performance in Mynaa, has brought her on board, says a close aide of the director.
