Cochin:It has been some time since the industry saw some big releases. However this month is going to change it all.
As much as nine films would get released this month.
The first major releases of the month would be on the 9th of July. ‘Oru Naal Varum’, the Rajeev Kumar film that has Mohanlal, Sreenivasan and Sameera Reddy in major roles and ‘Nallavan’ starring Jayasurya and Maithili would make it to the theatres on the 9th.
The 16th of July would have three releases; ‘Malarvady Arts Club’ that marks the directorial debut of Vineeth Srinivasan and ‘Apoorva Ragam’ the youth entertainer that has been directed by Siby Malayil. Along with these two films, Mammootty’s bilingual film ‘Vandemataram’ would also grace the screens on the same day.
On the 23rd of July Mammootty’s much discussed film ‘Kuttisranku’ would be released. The film directed by Shaji N Karun has already had a successful run at the festival circuits. Along with ‘Kuttisranku’, ‘Sakudumbam Shyamala’ that stars Kunchacko Boban and Bhama along with Urvasi would have a release.
There would be two releases on the 30th of July as well. ‘Oridathoru Postman’ that has Sarath Kumar and Kunchacko Boban in major roles and ‘Pattinte Palazhi’ that has been directed by Rajeev Anchal and that has Meera Jasmine in an author backed role are the two releases for the day.
With so many huge releases piped up for viewer approval July seems all set to be one of the busiest months of the year.
