Celebrities prays for Yuvraj’s recovery

As the news of cricket icon Yuvraj Singh has been diagnosed with cancer, several Bollywood personalities are vouching their support and praying for his speedy recovery.

The 30-year-old left-hander was first diagnosed with a non-malignant tumour of the lungs last year, but further tests revealed that it was cancer. Now he is undergoing chemotherapy in theUnited States.

Yuvi, who is popular with B-town personalities, has had messages and support pouring out to him from Bollywood.

Actor Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “Shocked to learn of Yuvraj Singh down with cancer…Yuvraj if you read this, know that we all pray for you…All shall and will be well. Yuvraj, get up in the morning and say it out loud – “Everyday in every way I am getting better and better !!” You will,”

“Yuvraj has done so much for Indian cricket. This world cup might not have happened without him. Let’s pray for his recovery. Get well Yuvi,” filmmaker Kunal Kohli wrote on twitter.

“Very upset to hear about Yuvraj! Let’s pray for his recovery. I know he’s a fighter and he’ll win this match,” actress Dia Mirza said.

To a reply on Yuvraj Singh’s tweet, actor Abhishek Bachchan tweeted, “@yuvsingh09 thank you so much my brother. Get well soon. Big hug.”

It is not just bollywood industry that has extended their support to him. Vijay Mallya, who is very much close to him, said, “I am devastated 2 hear that my friend Yuvraj Singh has cancer. I pray 2 Balaji that he recovers n is back in action.” Gujarat CM Narendra Modi too, said, “Sad to hear about ill-health of Yuvraj Singh. He is a fighter and am sure he’ll come out of it very soon and play again forIndia.”
