It is going to be Karthi’s big Friday as his eagerly awaited Suseenthiran directed Naan Mahaan Alla releases in 15 Chennai screens. There is a good buzz about it and with the marketing muscles of Cloud Nine, a fantastic opening is guaranteed.
Taking on NMA is Prakash Raj’s Duet MoviesInidhu Inidhu, a campus romantic musical with all newcomers. It is a remake of Sekhar Kammula’s Telugu hit Happy Days. Thanks to AGS Entertainment who took over the film at the last minute, it is getting prime shows at multiplexes.
The other Tamil release Kaipesi Enn is a horror thriller with newcomers and directed by Viswasenan. The Bollywood release is the Aditya Chopra produced Pradeep Sarkar directed Lafangey Parindey starring Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh and will have only limited appeal.
Meanwhile Vamsam is entering second week and holding on to its first week’s number of shows, and should be able to attract the multiplex audiences.
