Top Tamil director Cheran spoke against the films selected by Mammootty and the degradation of Malayalam films.
He said in a recent interview: “I felt very disappointed when I saw movies like Vandematharam and Annan Thampi. Such movies degenerate Malayalis aesthetic sense. Mammootty is a very talented actor. Sound effects can be heard when he wears the shirt and raises his legs. He used to ridicule it when Rajani Sir and other Tamil actors did it. And now he is doing the same thing and I cant accept it”
Cheran has been impressed by Kerala Cafe, Pazhassi Raja and Paleri Manickyam. Mammooty should act in movies like that. He is also in praise of Mohanlal’s acting in Bhramaram.
