After unveiling the G3 in May, LG has today launched its flagship device in India. The smartphone will be available in two variants, 16GB and 32GB, priced at Rs 47,990 and Rs 50,990 respectively.
As far as specifications are concerned, the LG G3 flaunts a 5.5-inch QHD (2560×1440 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla 3 protection, a pixel density of 538 pixels per inch and is powered by a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 330 GPU. As mentioned above, the smartphone is available in two variants differentiated by the internal memory and RAM. The first variant features 16GB internal storage with 2GB of RAM, and the other variant features 32GB internal storage along with 3GB of RAM.
On the photography front, the flagship device features a 13-megapixel primary camera with OIS+, and a laser-based auto focus sensor, which according to the company helps the camera focus in a fraction of the time required by conventional phone cameras. On the front, there is a 2.1-megapixel camera.
The smartphone also features a 3,000mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for up to 21 hours of talktime and up to 553 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS and NFC, and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat wrapped under the company’s new UI which has flatter icons.
As an introductory offer, LG is also offering the Quick Window case worth Rs 3,499 for free, a Rs 5,000 off if you were to buy the Android Wear-powered LG G Watch along with the G3, and also a Rs 6,500 service voucher covering screen replacement. LG is also offering a limited Big B Edition of the flagship device, which will boast Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan’s autograph.
