Mammootty joins the cast of an anthology film which comprises four featurettes. The anthology which is made as part of celebrating the centenary of Indian cinema will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013.
Mammootty will be part of the film directed by M Padmakumar and the other directors are Shajoon Kariyal, Rajesh Pillai, and Salim Ahmed. Each of them will be short, independent films of 35-40 minutes duration.
Shajoon Kariyal’s flick will cast Biju Menon in the lead role, the script of which is by Sachi. Bobby-Sanjay duo pens the script for Rajesh Pillai and the movie casts Kunchacko Boban and Sreenivasan. Salim Kumar and Fahad Fazil will be seen in the Salim Ahmed film which is scripted by the director himself.
The film will be produced by a Chennai based studio.
