One of the different movies to have graced Mollywood screens last year ‘Melvilasam’, is selected to the Busan international Film festival. This is the only Malayalam movie to get selected to the prestigious festival’s 2011 edition, scheduled to start by the 6th of August.
The movie by Madhav Ramdas is a real time movie based on the Hindi play by Swadesh Deepak titled ‘Court martial’. Soorya krishnamoorthy has earlier made an independent drama based on this story in the title ‘Melvilasam’ which was later converted into the movie.Suresh Gopi, Parthipan, Thaivasal Vijay, Ashokan and Krishnakumar were the lead players of the movie, which will be shortly dubbed into Tamil in the title ‘Ulvilasam’.
