Yes, its official! Nayanthara is doing the remake of Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller Kahaani, a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu which will be directed by Sekhar Kammula.
Kahaani was a heroine- centric thriller which was a huge hit and won its lead actress Vidya Balan a lot of accolades and awards. And now Nayanthara the actress who is in great demand in south, signing this remake for south will definitely create a huge buzz around the film.
This remake will be produced by Endemol India, pioneers in Television production and confirming this news they said: “We are foraying into film Production with Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani and the story has a strong emotional connect and can be adapted well for different markets” .
Sujoy Ghosh, will be the co-producer and he is glad that the Kahaani remake will help the film reach out to audiences down South.
Finally Nayan gets a role that she can sink into and she can prove her versatility in an author-backed role. And with Sekhar Kammula helming it, should do the trick.
