Mani Ratnam’s bilingual film ‘Raavan’ (Hindi) and ‘Raavanan’ (Tamil) will be screened at the upcoming renowned international event – 67th Venice Film Festival. However its stars – Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai won’t be attending the fest; owing to their prior and individual professional commitments.
While Aishwarya will be attending an event for Longines – the brand she endorses, Abhishek will be shooting for Omega in Italy, on the day of the screening.
Anurag Kashyap’s ‘That Girl In Yellow Boots’ will be showcased along with these films on the opening day of the festival, which starts from today (Wednesday).
Similarly, sources added, Abhishek and Aishwarya are also invited for other film festivals like Doha and Pusan, to promote their film or for individual honours. But the stars will attend only those which suit their schedule list.
