Actress Parvathy Jayaram, who is also a Bharatanatyam dancer, will be debuting in Mohiniyattam. She stayed back and abstained from limelight as she was so busy with her family life for the past eighteen years. The encouragement from her children Kalidas and Malavika, husband Jayaram and friends from film field forced her to start her lessons in Mohiniyattam four years back under the guidance of Kalamandalam Kshemavathi teacher. Parvathy will debut in Mohiniyattam at Chottanikara Temple on the day of Vijaya Dasami, October 17. Her husband actor Jayaram will perfom a chenda melam before Chottanikara Devi as his offer on the same day. Parvathy said, she has taken dance seriously and this second entry in dance would be dedicated to her beloved mother Padma Bai. Parvathy would perform dance on stages in Kerala and Chennai after the debut, Jayaram said.
