Director Selva Raghavan who was planning a Telugu film with Allu Arjun has decided to set that project aside.
Instead he is going ahead with another film with Anushka in the lead role. The film will be made both in Tamil and Telugu with Anushka as the heroine, while Tamil actor Arya (of Nenu Devudini and Varudu) will be playing male lead.
Buzz is that the film revolves around Anushka. After watching Anushka`s fiery performance in Arundhati, he thought of directing a heroine-oriented movie immediately with her but could not do so. Now he has finally come up with a script that has more scope for a `heroine` than the `lead hero`.
Excited by his script, Anushka reportedly gave her consent on the spot.
Director Chaitanya Dantaloori also narrated her a story of a revolutionary woman set in the pre-independence era in Mannam region of Andhra Pradesh. Although she liked the movie, she is yet to officially sign the movie. Both the director and producer Konda Krishnam Raju are hoping that she signs on the dotted line shortly.
