After Superstar, no one but Ajith could have carried off the role with such finesse. Ever since the release of Billa, fans and friends are eagerly waiting for Billa 2, which was announced in May 2008. Director Vishuvardhan is almost ready with the final script of Billa 2 and the film will go on floors in early 2011 as soon as Ajith completes Mankatha. Nirav Shah, the man behind the stylish shots in Billa, will handle the camera again. The latest buzz is that Ajith’s Billa 2 will be a prequel to Billa, and will narrate the story of David Billa’s earlier life.
