Namitha starrer ‘Black Stallion’ has managed to break even despite a spate of negative reviews, say reports. The film, made at a modest budget of Rs 2.85 crore, was marketed innovatively by making use of Namitha’s glam image across all south Indian states. The Pramod-Pappan film is a trilingual, in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu and it was well promoted in all languages.
The USP of the film is, of course, Namitha’s high voltage glamour. The film was completed in a very short period and was set in the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. There were very few dialogues for the characters also. All this helped the directors to complete the film on time.
‘Black Stallion’ is having an impressive opening all over the south. The filmmakers plan to dub the film into Hindi and Bhojpuri as well. Kalabhavan Mani and Bala are the other important stars in the film.
