Clear weather over Mumbai for World Cup final

A bright, sunny day greeted Mumbai Saturday as the whole nation held its breath for the World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka. The met office has predicted clear skies with no rainfall.

According to the Mumbai Weather Bureau, the average temperature was 32 degrees Celsius for south Mumbai, which is home to the match venue Wankhede Stadium, and 33 degrees for the suburbs, while the minimum was expected to touch 21 degrees and 22 degrees respectively.

However, the temperature is expected to go up by a few degrees during the day. The match will begin by 2.30 p.m.

The humidity levels are expected to touch 74 percent and 78 percent in south and north Mumbai.
