I’ll follow SRK on Twitter soon: Aamir Khan

One wonders if Aamir Khan’s rivalry with Shah Rukh Khan has so far kept him away from following him on Twitter, but the “Lagaan” actor says he would love to track Shah Rukh’s posts on the micro-blogging site.

“I have lots of friends in life but I don’t follow everybody on Twitter. It’s just been a few days since I have joined the site and I will start following people soon and yes, I would love to follow Shah Rukh on Twitter. Why not?” Aamir told reporters here Wednesday.

Till now, Aamir follows Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Karan Johar and nephew Imran Khan only.

Though the actor-filmmaker was here to promote his next production “Peepli Live”, he was being asked everything else but about the film.

On being asked to react about megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s return as the host of “Kaun Banega Crorepati”, Aamir burst out laughing as it didn’t have much to do with his film.

“I used to love watching ‘KBC’ with my family. My children also used to sit and watch it. And I certainly am excited about seeing Amitabh-ji back on the show,” said Aamir, who was earlier rumoured to be hosting the upcoming season of the show.

Aamir was also at his jocular best when he was asked to wish Dhoni for his birthday Wednesday.

“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you…Happy birthday dear Dhoni, Happy birthday to you,” sang the actor and burst out in laughter.

Congratulating the cricketer on his sudden wedding, Aamir said: “I congratulate Dhoni and wish him all the best. We hope he has a happy and successful marriage.”

The actor, dressed in a casual shirt and a pair of jeans, was here with “Peepli Live” director Anusha Rizvi and her co-director Mehmood.

“Peepli Live” is the fourth film from Aamir Khan Productions Ltd after “Lagaan: Once Upon A Time In India” (2001), “Taare Zameen Par”(2007) and “Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na”(2008).

Aamir hopes the one hour 45 minute long satirical film sensitises the audience about the “growing divide between urban and rural India”.

He clarified that the film is not on farmer suicides and it is not inspired by any single incident in the society.
