Debutante Mahesh Karanthoor has started shooting for the remake of I V Sasi’s 1982 hit film of the eighties ‘Ina’. The original movie in the scripts of John Paul which explores a plot on teen lust, early marriage and its consequences featured Master Raghu and Devi in the lead roles with ample support from Kanchana, Rasheed and B K Pottekkadu.
In the remake, fresh faces including Tamil actor Yuvan will don the lead roles, while Kalabhavan Mani, Baburaj, Devan, Mamukoya, Riza Bava, Aswathy, Lakshmi Sarma, Geetha Vijayan, and Swathi Varma will lend support. The new film scripted by director will have dialogues by Jithu Dharmaraj. Shibu Sukumaran has scored the music for the lyrics penned by Vayalar Saratchandra Vama and I.S. Kundoor. Mani Prasad cranks the camera. Sreenath Magadha is producing the film under the banner of Harichandana Creations.
