CHENNAI: With it becoming clear that Mahesh Babu will not do the ‘3 Idiots’ remake in Telugu, titled ‘3 Rascals’, as it is clashing with his dates for ‘Dhukudu’, Shankar, the director of the flick, has decided to go with Suriya as the lead hero for both Tamil and Telugu versions of the movie.
Sources say Tamil star Vijay has also declined the role in the Tamil version of the movie. Since Suriya is a well known face in both Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, Shankar thinks it is a double whammy as Suriya is as talented as Aamir Khan.
Though there has been no official communication yet, it is likely that Suriya is the main lead for the movie.
