For all Thala fans out there, get ready for the Mankatha game! According to sources, Ajith’s much-awaited 50th film Mankatha, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is likely to grace theatres on August 19, 2011. The film also stars Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Premji Amaren, Arjun and Vaibhav in prominent roles. Mankatha is an action thriller which is rumoured to narrate the story of match-fixing sagas in international cricket matches. Arjun will play the role of an investigative officer who takes up the task of exposing the bookies. Thala Ajith will play the role of a gambler; then the cat and mouse game begins.
The film is produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri under his home banner Cloud Nine Movies. Music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja is all set to be launched in Chennai on August 10, 2011. Thala Ajith’s salt and pepper look in Mankatha is already the talk of the town!
