The second reunion of the stars of the 80s era was organised by Suhasini Manirathnam and hosted by Lissy Priyadarshan on August 29. Called ‘EVERGREEN 80s’ the second edition had the same high degree of fun and happiness as last year.
The union this year was more unique than last year because artistes from all the four states assembled for an evening of friendship, art, music and happiness.
Like last year the biggest of them all Rajinikant lead the nostalgia. Another big thing that happened this year was that other southern super stars like Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal. Venkatesh and Arjun also joined.
Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Venkatesh, Ambareesh, Sarath Kumar, Arjun, Prabhu. Karthik, Mohan, Suresh, Suman, Naresh, Banuchander, Pratal Pothan, Mukesh and Shankar were the male super stars who attended the party.
Ambika. Radha, Suhasini, Radhika, Sumalatha, Poornima Jayaram, Shobhana, Lissy, Revathi, NAdhiya, Ramya krishnan and Kushbu were the female super stars at the party.
“It was beautiful. This is the second time for us to come together. The theme for the event was black and green and we were dressed accordingly. It was a memorable evening which we would cherish forever,” Suhasini said after the event.
Khushboo, an addition this year said, “We were not like stars. We were like school children, who would be thrilled to meet their pals after a break. Imagine Rajini sir sitting on the floor and chatting with us.” She is also happy that she met her first hero Venkatesh at the event.
Sources say beuties of the ers Ramya Krishnan, Khushbhoo and Radha danced for the chartbuster of their days ‘Nila adu vaanathu mele…’ song from ‘Nayagan’.
The two big superstars were missed at the function. Kamal and Mammootty. Kamal was said to be travelling and Mammootty was on Ramzan fasting, sources said.
