Mohanlal as Arjun of Naaduvazhikal, directed by Joshy made him an action hero in the late 1980’s.
Now Shaji Kailas is remaking Naaduvazhikal with Prithviraj playing Arjun. Last month the ‘pooja’ of the film was held at Mascot Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram.
SN Swamy who wrote the original says: “Naaduvazhikal was a landmark movie for Mohanlal as an action mass hero who fights, says punchline dialouges, cracks jokes with friends, romances a mystery girl and comes back from a big city to a small town to help his dad who has been framed up by his rivals. Among the younger lot of actors, I think it will fit Prithviraj the best.” The shoot of this action packed entertainer produced by Malavika Productions S Chandrakumar will start in September.
