The hot and gorgeous actress Priyamani who made her debut in ‘Kangalal Kaidhu Sei’ proved herself acting successively in many films like Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam, Paruthiveeran, Malaikottai, Thotta, Aarumugam and Ninaithale Inikkum. She has also received National award for her performance in ‘Paruthiveeran’.
Sources say that for the last one year she was not flooded with even single offer except a small role in Raavanan.
Priyamani on speaking about this says “I brought out my acting skills in the film Paruthiveeran. I got the National Award for this. In spite of this I am not getting opportunities to act in Tamil cinema. I have been sidelined. I don’t understand that why the producers and directors are avoiding me. I have acted in lot of hit films and yet I don’t get the chance to act in Tamil films. One of my dreams was to act in a Manirathnam film. That has been fulfilled through the film Raavanan.
I should have got the award for the Malayalam film Thiraikadha but I did not get it because I did not dub. Since I was busy with Telugu films I was not able to dub. All the actresses have started acting glamorously. But everybody is commenting on me because that I wore bikini.
I don’t understand that what is wrong in this. In the Telugu film Dronha I have acted in a scene like this. This dress is suitable for my physique. I don’t understand that what is wrong in this. You have worn a swim suit if you swim in the swimming pool. You cannot wear a saree and swim.”
