The movie music rights are already sold at 15 crores. The satellite rights have gone at 30 crores coming to 45 crores.
In the first time in the history of Bollywood a movie’s audio launch has got money for the producers. We don’t know the figures but its believed to be a hefty amount (anyways we have not calculated that).
And of course the range of ‘Ra.One’ merchandise right from writting pads, dolls, video games and what not… All are expected to be displayed in 3500 outlets all over.
Well, the amount generated from the merchandise itself can be sufficient to produce a decent Bollywood flick if everything goes right.
With a Diwali release and speculations of ‘Ra.One’ crossing the 2799 screens with over 2000 prints record set by arch rival Salman in ‘Bodygaurd’, ‘Ra.One’ is expected to show a staggering opening figure.
It’s said well begun is half done and we sincerely hope that it goes well with the Badshah of Bollywood Shahrukh and his most ambitious ‘Ra.One’.
