Director Ketan Mehta is back with his biopic on the life and times of 19th century noted artist Raja Ravi Varma after the failure of Mangal Pandey-The Rising. The film is an adaptation of biographical novel Raja Ravi Varma by Marathi writer Ranjit Desai and stars Randeep Hooda as Raja Ravi Varma and Nandana Sen as Sugandha.
Rumor mills suggest that both the lead actors have too many romantic scenes, to be frank erotic scenes. Mehta known for bringing reality into cinema had shot too many erotic scenes or sensuous scenes as the actress calls it. The film would be of two versions; one for international audience titled as Color of passion other for Indian audience as Rang Rasiya.
At the same time Mehta clarified that international content would be slightly different from Hindi versions content. Wonder why the disparity?
