Kancherla Gopanna (Nagarjuna) and Kamala (Sneha) are happy married couple. Gopanna’s life takes a turn when he gets appointed as Tahsildar in the kingdom of Tanisha (Nazar). He comes across Dammakka (Sujatha), disciple of Lord Sri Rama. She illustrates the credentials and idols of Lord Rama to Gopanna at Bhadradri. Gopanna decides to build a temple for Rama at the place. He succeeds to build the temple with the help of Kabir (ANR). Mate Saheb (Jayaprakash Reddy), the ex Tahsildar of Tanisha, misleads the king and makes Gopanna get imprisoned. And how Gopanna is acquitted and made Tanisha realize his mistake forms the rest of the story.

Performance:
Nagarjuna did well as Ramadasu. He perfectly fitted to the role. His matured performance is one of the main assets of the movie. He looks natural in all the sequences of the movie. Sneha suits well as the wife of Nagarjuna. She did her best performance in the movie. Suman suited well even for the character of Lord Ram. Archana looks natural as Sita. ANR’s appearance as Kabir is impressive. Sujatha’s role as Dammakka is good. All the others have performed adequately. Bharavi also appeared in the movie. Music given by Keeravani is excellent. All the songs are good and situational. Direction is fine. Production values are high. All the technical aspects are good.
