Suresh Gopi, who shot to super stardom with his role as a Police Commissioner in Commissioner (1994), will play the same role again in Shaji Kailas’s big budget flick The King and Commissioner.
Mammootty, who played the firebrand IAS officer Joseph Alex in The King (1995), will reprise the same role. This new film revolves around the clash between a Commissioner and an IAS officer.
After their super hit combo in Sthalathe Pradhana Payyan, Thalasthanam, Ekalayavan, Commissioner and The King, Mollywood’s hit makers Shaji Kailas and Renji Panikkar are back once again after 15 years with this film. The shoot will start in January 2011 and it will be a Vishu release by Mammootty’s production house Play House.
