The hottest news in Kollywood is that writer and director Vikram Kumar of Yaavarum Nalam fame is going to direct Ilayathalapathy Vijay! A few weeks back Vikram Kumar narrated a one line story to Vijay who liked it immensely. Vijay asked him to expand on it and he is now working on providing “an action packed masala entertainer “for the star.
The big news is that Vijay has given his call sheet to veteran producer AM Ratnam, who has churned out super hits with him like Ghilli and Sivakasi. For Ratnam now going through difficult times, a film with Vijay will give him a new lease of life as producer.
Vikram is writing the script sitting in Ratnam’s office in Saligramam. The film will start rolling sometime next year, after Vijay completes his pending assignments. The Vijay- Vikram Kumar combination is sure going to be deadly and give the mass hero an all new image.
