Film star Vikram and ExNoRa Nirmal will launch the ‘Say No to plastic’ campaign during the World Food and Nutrition Day to be held on August 26th at the Stella Maris College in Chennai,
Professor Ismail (Director – Ecosign Research Foundation, Department Head, Bio Technology, New College) will inaugurate the event and address the students about nutrition and other environmental concerns. The Students’ Union President with then administer the Oath to protect the environment, eat right and help empower the less fortunate. Soon after the Oath, the ‘Say No to Plastic’ campaign will be launched by actor Vikram, the Guest of Honor for the event. Dr. M B Nirmal, Founder ExNoRa will deliver a key note address. Vikram and Nirmal will throw a bundle of plastic waste into a dust bin, to symbolize the beginning of a plastic-free environment. Awards will also be presented to those students who are working towards the protection of the environment.
