KOCHI: Renowned film director Vinayan, today said that his latest film ‘Yakshiyum Njanum’, with all newcomers, was proving a hit as there was tremendous response from the people.
Speaking to mediapersons, Vinayan welcomed the Producers Association protesting on the defacing of posters of latest movies of superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal at various places in the city.
Vinayan said the Association should have protested when other posters were also defaced by the miscreants on earlier occasions.
Vinayan alleged that Producer’s Association and Kerala Film Chamber tried to block the smooth release of his film.
He said the film was released in 72 theatres in the state and everywhere there was tremendous support from the people.
Vinayan said he will also most probably direct the remake of the film in Telugu.
Vinayan said veteran actor Tilakan will be in the lead role in one of his film titled ‘Freedom Fighter’.
