As the release date is confirmed as on August 12 or 19, 2011, Mankatha’s audio launch is pending. Already the single track “Vilayadu Mankatha” was a bit of a goof up as it was a remix from Sakthi Masala TVC. Despite that, the song is a hit.
Producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri puts pressure on Ajith, the actor who dissolved his fan clubs, to have him participate in the audio launch of Mankatha. Earlier the Ultimate Star dissolved his fan clubs after repeated requests from them to contest in elections or float a political party.
Now, Dhayanidhi Alagiri, of Cloud Nine Movies, says if Ajith participates in the audio launch, he will have a grand audio launch function. The Ultimate Star is known to skip such functions but if he participates, and if Kalaignar M Karunanidhi makes his way into the function, Ajith may feel trapped but his fans would sure want an audio launch with Ajith present in the function.
