Anushka talks about ‘Mangaatha’

Anushka has denied reports appeared in a section of the media that she was initially roped in for ‘Mangaatha’, Ajith’s 50th film, and was later dropped from the project due to some unavoidable reasons.
“I was neither sacked from the film nor did I walk out of it. It is true that the makers of the movie approached me to be part of it. But I expressed my inability as I am busy with other prior commitments,” she says.

The actress, who may do a special number in Silambarasan starrer ‘Vaanam’, a remake of Telugu hit ‘Vedam’, says, “I played one of the lead roles in ‘Vedam’ since it offered me scope to do a totally different character.”

Saying that there is nothing wrong in appearing for one song, the yoga trainer turned actress says, “They are no more item numbers. They are special songs which add value to a film. But shaking legs for such songs depends on individual’s choice.”
