After eight years of Tamil film ‘Charlie Chaplin’ the Kannada version is retaining the title of Malayalam version ‘Happy Husbands’. The Telugu version in 2003 was ‘Pellam Oorelithe’, in 2005 Hindi film ‘No Entry’ copied the script and in Malayalam on January 2010 ‘Happy Husband was released.
‘Happy Husbands’ in Kannada is shooting currently at Surabhi House in Dodda Maralawadi 65 kilometers away from Bangalore. ‘HH’ is starring trailblazer V Ravichandran, gentleman hero Ramesh Aravind, Vijay Raghavendra, Ragini, Yagna Shetty, Rishika in the lead. Udayaprakash who directed ‘Yogi’ is taking up the big task of directing two actors cum directors – V Ravichandran and Ramesh Aravind.
Producer K Manju with ‘Shikari’ of Mammooty and ‘Jolly Boys’ on hand says this ‘HH’ will be another ‘Rama Shama Bhama’ of his banner. The HH versions might have come in television many a times but it would not snatch the chances of audiences coming to the theatres. “I have the similar experience for my ‘Rama Shama Bhama’ that was made in Tamil as Sathi Leelavathi and Biwi no 1 in Hindi. The film ran for 175 days all over Karnataka theatres because of Dr Kamal Hassan and Ramesh Aravind combination and lovely comedy elements”, say Manju.
Ragini is taking on Bipasha Basu’s role. “I have to entice the three prominent in the lead. I have prepared in hair style, physique and costumes will be totally refreshing for me on screen”, says the lanky lady Ragini. Ramesh Aravind is a magazine editor with loving wife who is always in suspicious mood. “In my real life I am very loyal”, declared Ramesh Aravind.

Udayaprakash wanted a lavish house where lot of developments takes place. The point the film makes is universal. Udayaprakash is making the film look more glamorous. Kaviraj has penned all the five songs for this film. Paul Alex of Malayalam films is scoring music for his first Kannada film.
