It is finally a theatre actor who got finalized to play the lead role in Billa 2 opposite Thala Ajith. She is going essay the role of Ajith’s love interest in the film. Earlier there are many speculations breaking the headlines that Anushka is going to play the female lead but now all the rumors were put to rest with the filmmakers signing model Huma Qureshi.
Huma Qureshi is a model based in Delhi and she appeared in many TV commercials like Nerolac Paints with Shah Rukh Khan and also spotted with Aamir Khan in Samsung Guru Mobile. Huma also has done campaigns for leading brands like Maderma, Parle Monaco, LG Washing Machine, Idea, Pears soap, and Bajaj Discover Bikes. She is also making her debut in Bollywood with the remake of Sasikumar’s Subramaniapuram which is titled as Gangs of Wasseypur. Ace director Anurag Kashyap’s is directing this remake.
“I am happy with the script narrated by Chakri Toleti and also lucky to make my Kollywood debut with top star Ajith at the early stages of my career. I am looking forward to meet Ajith sir very soon and it is a great pleasure to be a part of legendary Billa 2 franchise” says Huma Qureshi.
Director Chakri says “It became a challenging task for us to select an actress with a right mix of looks, talent and attitude. Huma fits all these aspects and she is the bets suit for the role as her role is strong and pivotal. It took nearly two months looking at options for the lead actress for Billa 2. I and The producers are extremely confident about Huma”.
