The campaign was launched by Population Services International (PSI), an NGO which works in the field of HIV/ AIDS, family planning and related issues and a Chennai-based FM radio recently.
Kamal, who donated Rs 7.50 lakh for the campaign, has given special interviews and interacted with the affected children, their care givers and others. “He is very supportive,” a source said.
Meanwhile, buzz is that the ace actor has also requested his colleagues in his forthcoming film ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ to join hands for the cause. Following this, Madhavan, Trisha and Ramesh Arvind have reportedly come forward to support the campaign.
