Ilayathalapathy Vijay, who is touted to kick-start his long waited Kannabiran in the direction of Ameer Sultan, is now keen to rope in Maestro Ilayaraja to compose the music notes for the movie.
As we are aware of Ameer’s rapport with Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has joined hands in all the films directed by Ameer so far. However, Ameer is always said to be captivated by Ilayaraja’s music, especially the scores of Ariyatha Vayasu and Paruthiveeran and reported to have asked Ilayaraja openly about the offer of Kannabiran. And the composer politely turned down saying, only Yuvan would suit your films with an assertive story line.
It is well known that Vijay’s Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, which has music by Isaignani is a musical hit and was also a turning point in Vijay’s industry career, followed by blockbuster hits Kannukkul Nilavu and Friends. Now makers are planning to repeat the same magic with Vijay-Ameer’s Kannabiran, by having the compositions of Ilayaraja.
