Waheeda Rehman to inaugurate IFFK

One of the senior most artistes of Indian cinema, Waheeda Rehman, will inaugurate the current edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala(IFFK) on December 10. The eight-day long festival organised by the Kerala State Chalachithra Academy(KSCA), to be held at the capital city, will have German filmmaker Werner Herzog as the guest of honour.

Around fourteen films from Asia, Africa, and Latin America will compete for the top honours including the Suvarna Chakoram for the best film, which carries a cash price of 15 lakhs. This year’s festival will screen around 200 films in various categories.
