Kamal turns lyricist for ‘Manmadhan Ambu’

‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan, who has his ‘Manmathan Ambu’ oppositeTrisha releasing next month, has reportedly penned all the songs in the film. Kamal, who has been in the industry for an unbelievable 50 years, has dabbled in almost all the fields of film-making: producing, directing, penning the story, screenplay and dialogue, singing and dancing.

Kamal has done almost everything other than composing music for a film. Now he has penned all the songs in‘Manmathan Ambu’. This is only his second attempt at lyric-writing after he debuted as a lyricist in his home production ‘Hey Ram’ (‘Nee Partha….) in ‘Maestro’ Ilaiyaraaja’s music a few years back.

‘Manmathan Ambu’ has music by Devi Sri Prasad who has composed the tunes for four songs written by Kamal Haasan. “Besides acting, Kamal has contributed in many fields in the making of the film. He has penned four out of the five songs in the film, which is quite an admirable thing,” says Ravikumar.

Sources close to the film’s Unit say that the audio of the film would be released on the 20th November in Singapore.
