It’s his big Bollywood debut and has B-town talking about him but Suriya had no choice but to give the premiere of ‘Rakht Charitra 2’ in Malaysia a miss.
The actor was scheduled to fly to Malaysia but couldn’t make it due to an accident on the sets of ‘7 am Arivu’, directed by AR Murugadoss of ‘Ghajini’ fame. Suriya has suffered an accident on the set of an AR Murugadoss film and has seriously injured his back. It is believed that while he recuperates, all preparation for the premiere now seems futile to the producers of the film, who have lost a lot of money that was spent on publicity.
“Suriya has had a very bad back injury. The accident occurred while Suriya was shooting. However, all invites had already been sent and Ramu and Suriya were supposed to fly to Malaysia last night.” Suriya has been quoted by the website as saying:
“The injury is at the end of the spinal cord and it’s very painful. I have even cancelled my shoots for the next two days at least. I was really looking forward to the premiere at Malaysia and meet my fan base there, but this injury this morning spoilt it all.”
