Endhiran first day tickets sold out

Many theatres in Bengaluru which is releasing Endhiran had to yield to the pressure of fans and issue tickets for the first day on Monday morning.
A couple of theatres had to issue tickets till Sunday. The distributors will be seeking KFCC`s permission to release the movie in many theatres.

Ticket fares have been increased and ranges from Rs. 200 to Rs. 60 which is the normal ticket price in these theatres. The middle class ticket rates have been increased to Rs. 150 in these theatres while it would be Rs. 100 for the front class. Advance booking would be issued at the prestigious Cauvery theatre on Wednesday. Several other theatres like Madeshwara and Vaibhavi have already closed the advance booking sales for three days.

Naveen who had acted in several Kannada films and who is also the owner of Parimala Theatre told Sify Movies that since Rajini has a big fan base in Bangalore. It is impossible for them not to yield to the craze and pressure of the fans. “I had to issue the tickets for three days on Monday as Rajini fans has beens storming for the past three days for tickets. I had to seek police protection and I had no other go than to issue tickets following the guidance from the cops and the distributors of the film”, says Naveen.

Such is the craze for Endhiran in Karnataka, that the multiplexes have decided to allot more number of screens which means lesser or no screens for other films from different languages. The release of Prashanth`s Gaana Bajaana had to be postponed as many multiplex screens in Bengaluru refused to allot their screens. However, the producers of Hrudayadalli Idhenidhu have decided to release their film on 1st October as they are getting the Sagar theatre which is one of the best in the city.

Since ticket admission rates have substantially increased for Endhiran, the state government which has not spent a single paisa on the produciton of the film will make a killing. Trade analysts expect that the state government will get a revenue of around Rs. 5 crores for the film, while some theatres which are screening the film on percentage basis will also make huge money. Already huge advances have been paid by the selected theatres to the distributors of the film.
